The Gillmach wire feeders are compatible with all MIG welding power packs. So now, if your wire feeder breaks and is not repairable, there's no need to replace the entire machine.
Gillmach wire feeders are a multi-voltage unit and can operate from any welding power source. The operating voltages are 100 volt AC - 46 volt or 24 volt DC.
The contractor operation of the power source is operated via a normally open set of relay contacts in the wire feeder.
Speed control is operated from a control knob of the front panel. The speed control is a pulse width modulator offering a constant wire speed irrespective of mains voltage fluctuation.
Slope control is the rate at which the wire speed increases to the value set by the speed control knob. Thhis is factory set for normal mild steel welding but can be adjusted to obtain optimum arc starting for aluminium welding. Adjustment is via a potentiometer om the motor control pc board marked "slope".
Burn back time is preset in the factory but can be adjusted via a potentiometer located on the trigger lock pc board.
Optional Extras:
Extended Control Cable
Spool Cover
